This should be a huge lesson in the power of Twitter.  There were thousands of tweets minutes after he did it and everybody hit the keyboards and popping out posts. Take a look at the digg search page for Kanye West.

I’ve never met him, but have read loads on how Jason Calcanis get’s so many links.  Simply by being a jackass, many sites link to him. Now, imagine the power you can have by developing a “breaking story” or just simply being your own jackass.  Sites like Youtube and Viddler allow everybody to be their own jackass.  Get people talking about you like they do Calcanis or Kanye and you can bet you will gain some nice traffic.
