It's easy to get discouraged and quit.

Don’t Get Discouraged

Let me tell you, I know how easy it is to get discouraged.  I’ve been there many times in life.  In fact, as I write this, I have a campaign going that I have spent $800+ on and only made back $200.

The important thing is to battle discouragement and beat it.  Find a way to keep pushing that boulder up the hill until you finally reach the top and it rolls down the other side by itself.

Yes, I know this is easier said that done, but nobody successful ever quit when they got discouraged, they simple kept pushing until they got the result they wanted.

Henry Ford wanted an 8 cylinder engine with its block cast in 1 piece.  He had determined that casting in 1 piece would save money over the current 8 cylinder engine block that were cast in 3 pieces. His engineers said it couldn’t be done.  He told the engineers to go ahead and do it – no matter how much time it took. A year passed and Ford checked the on the engineers progress and they had not found a way to design the 8 cylinder engine.   Ford’s reply to them was simple, go ahead and keep working on it.  In fact, he told them,

I want it, and I’ll have it.

Needless to say,  he got his 1 piece 8 cylinder engine block.

He remained determined no matter what his experts told him and no matter how long it took to complete.

Why Most New Affiliates Get Discouraged

You are NOT going to get rich overnight.  Stop buying the “hope in a box” products that promise you overnight wealth.  Its not going to happen.  Hard work and determination are the key to success in this, as it it is in any other facet of life.  Can affiliate marketing make you extremely wealthy?  Yes, however those making 6 figures a month didn’t do it over night.

People around you can add to your discouragement.  Id someone laughs at you or makes light of what you are trying to do, take a close look at them.  Are they independently wealthy?  Can they say with experience or great knowledge what you are trying to do isn’t worth it?  If the answer is no to either of these questions.. AVOID THEM!  Or if that’s too extreme and they are close to you, then at least tell them to keep their comments to themselves.

You Will Face Many Obstacles in Affiliate Marketing

There are the obstacles of time, money, lack of sleep, etc…  While I can’t give you more time.  Won’t give you any money.  Can’t help you sleep.  I will tell you no matter what, keep determined.  Keep working on something related to your efforts.  Write some new articles.  Design a new site for that niche you are thinking about getting into sometime soon.

Been working on something for hours and it’s starting to drag on?  Save it, go work on something else for a bit and then come back to it later.  I have found this to be helpful personally.  Also, take small breaks while you are working.  Go outside for 5 minutes.  Often, the time away from your screen will get the creative juices flowing, helping you to think of a solution to something you have been toiling with.  Nothing like a fresh idea to keep the discouragement at bay!
